Architect: Paul Archer Design
This project features a two storey extension to the rear of a terraced house in the NW5 conservation area.
The lower level, which houses a new en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom, was constructed in shuttered concrete (and also forms a retaining wall / steps to the garden).
The upper level is a timber structure, clad in alternating Welsh Riven slate and glass panels, and houses a new hand built kitchen.
Retractable pocket doors divide the space between the living room, and dining room / new kitchen area.
The ground, and lower ground floors were fitted with an engineered timber floor with underfloor heating.
Also included in the works were a new downstairs cloakroom, re-plastering and decoration, and externally: a multi-level decked area, incorperating benches and planters.
Project completed: August 2009.
